SQM brings the scale, technical expertise, skilled workforce, financial capacity, and international sales networks needed to seize current opportunities and operate the Atacama Salt Flat with top-level technology and environmental care.
The company will transfer to the joint venture all contracts, assets, and infrastructure in the Salt Flat and in Antofagasta, including environmental permits, international sales networks, technical know-how, and a workforce of more than 3,500 lithium production experts.
SQM is contributing 100% of the value of all its infrastructure and plants in the Atacama Salt Flat and at the El Carmen facility — including the world’s largest lithium product refining center located in Antofagasta.
