The expansion of production by 300,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) was authorized by the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission (CCHEN) based on technical criteria. This authorization is valid only for the current term of the contract with Corfo and contingent upon the partnership with Codelco being finalized.
It is important to note that lithium is a non-concessible mineral, and extraction quotas are determined by the CCHEN according to available reserves.
Brine flows must be authorized by the environmental authority, based on the results of the Environmental Impact Study.
